Things I Wish Someone Had Told Me before My PhD

The motivation for this post is that I came across a Reddit post with the same title, and I thought “well I have something to share also”–so here I am.

• Do an internship, no matter what you want to do.
• Always articulate your ideas in words–best if you could find someone to talk to. It would help sharpen your argument and your mind. By “putting into words”, I mean both verbal expressions and in writing.
